About

I'm a software engineer working at the intersection of AI systems, data platforms, and distributed systems, currently as a Forward Deployed Software Engineer at Palantir, where I build software for mission-critical customer problems using modern engineering, data, and AI-enabled tooling.
Background
I started at Northrop Grumman as an intern the summer after my first research experience, a machine learning project at Michigan State University predicting course outcomes in massive open online courses. That work, presented at a handful of academic conferences, was my first real exposure to building something with machine learning end to end, not just running an algorithm, but framing a problem, evaluating tradeoffs, and communicating results to people outside the room where the model was built.
Two more summers at Northrop followed, one in backend software engineering, one in data science, before I joined full-time in 2022 through the company's Pathways rotational program. Over the next three years I rotated across data platform engineering, information governance, and enterprise AI, work that ranged from building data quality pipelines to leading the strategy for an enterprise AI registry used to track and govern AI and generative AI use cases across the organization. By the time I finished the program in early 2025, my title had shifted to AI Systems Engineer, reflecting where the work had actually gone: model governance, platform integration, and helping an organization figure out how to adopt generative AI responsibly rather than just quickly.
I started at Palantir in May 2026, drawn by the chance to work more directly on deployed software with users, rather than primarily on the governance and platform layer around it.
What I focus on
My specialization sits across a few related areas: production AI systems, the data platforms and distributed systems underneath them, and the governance and reliability questions that come with actually putting AI in front of users rather than just prototyping it. Northrop gave me a real education in that last part, adoption, trust, and governance aren't side considerations in AI work, they're engineering problems in their own right.
I'm currently completing an M.S. in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning at Georgia Tech, expected December 2026. Coursework has covered deep learning, natural language processing, AI ethics, and graduate-level algorithms, among others. My capstone project, a set of lightweight convolutional neural networks for classifying musculoskeletal X-rays, is on the Projects page.
I hold a B.S. in Computer Science from Penn State (2022).
Outside of work
I play saxophone, something I've done since I was ten, including as lead saxophone in my high school jazz band and in one of Penn State's jazz ensembles. I've written or arranged more than three dozen pieces over the years, a few of which live on my MuseScore profile, including an arrangement of Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" that's picked up well over 100,000 views. I've also run since middle school, and last year finished the Marine Corps Marathon's 50th-anniversary race in 3:59:48. I got engaged this past June to my partner of four years, and outside of that you'll usually find me at a basketball, football, or baseball game, or partway through a book with one of the clubs I'm in.
